has anyone of you read or heard about Stephanie Meyer's twilight book? I've read a lot of positive commentaries about it and my curiosity's been spinning around it for months now.

my first stephen king

i just finished reading "carrie" by stephen king.

it's the first book by king that i read.
i was intrigued because king is a new york times bestselling author, and i've heard he's a good horror writer.

however, "carrie" is not really a horror story. it's more on sci-fi (because it's about a telekinetic girl) and suspense (because the girl claimed revenge).

my verdict: fun to read for thrill-seekers like me! i could imagine the scenes in my mind as if i was watching a suspense movie. very dark and creepy. not for the weak-hearted!

wow! this is super great! ;D I can finally share my insights about the books I read! I really could not share it with my bbf since he's not so into books. He is more into reading sports magazines and the like. BOOKiEs can probably help me pour my emotional and mental outbursts of the ones I've read recently and help me understand why I keep on buying books at Booksale even if I'm not yet done with the remaining 7 unread books in my table. ha ha.

welcome to BOOKiES Club!

since DevCom pipz are getting into bookworm mode lately, we thought it would be nice to establish a book club. but unlike your ordinary book club, BOOKiES has its own blog so we can post reviews, recommendations, price listings, comments, and practically anything about the stuff we've read (it doesn't even have to be a book!).

here at BOOKiES, we use codenames. that way, we don't have to hesitate about posting something. ;P
